Lockdown over (I think)...

As far as we're concerned (travel to London notwithstanding...who knows when that will be on the agenda once more!) it's pretty much Life back to normal. The 'mask' and distancing rules still apply at the supermarket, but since there haven't been any queues to get in to go shopping for weeks now, then the mild irritation of the mask-wearing is merely that. No schools, and so our World continues in blissful silence, without the normal background sounds from the schoolyard beyond our northern boundary. Summer is advancing and all looks set fair...

Tonight's dinner:

Courgette gratin

Lamb chops fried in parmesan batter; artichoke hearts

Banana souffles

Are you now able to get a haircut? We are still being very cautious - masks and social distancing seem to have gone completely out the window for 3/4 of the locals.

I am. I have. With masks - which I have to say I find quite uncomfortable; the idea of wearing one for the duration of a flight would not be something I'd welcome. TD has been quite relaxed about getting his hair cut (with his flowing silvery locks, he now resembles George III in his final days, when he was totally potty, and has life was reduced to roaming the galleries at Windsor, filled with harpsichords and chiming clocks...) - Franco has been booked to come round on Tuesday, however, and will wield his hair clippers in the safety of the garden.
I can't really say what the local population is doing here re distancing, since I haven't seen any reason to go beyond the gates in the past week. Business as normal, really.
