Now you see it...

 The panelling in the kitchen has finally been installed.

Which means we now live within some kind of chinese puzzle. The central panels concertina back, to reveal the kitchen units beyond; the sections to left and right are pull-outs above, and deep-fronted drawers beneath (which contain things like the ice-cream machine, and the rubbish bins) and the narrow panels above open upwards, towards the ceiling, for the spaces where the elephants go to die.

TD is currently driving everybody nuts, as he wants it all to slide and move effortlessly, and with a whisper, at the lightest touch of a finger. It doesn't. He says 'yet'. I'm happy to compromise (maybe with a view to being able to declare the work finished), and there we differ. Oh, well. Variety, and all that...
