A new arrival...

The mini-four-footed has been born!

On June 12th, to be precise, at around 10.30 in the evening. Mother and puppies - all five of them - are doing well, and we're heading off to Hampshire tomorrow morning to inspect in person. Of the five, three are bitches and two are dogs - and although there's no requirement at this stage to choose which of the dogs we'll take, I suspect we'll start bonding on the spot, and the decision will take itself...

Tonight's dinner:

...is in Clerkenwell, somewhere. A new discovery by the Brancolis-in-London, so they're making all the arrangements.

Congratulations! You know that you will be chosen and that you will have no say in the matter. I look forward, with interest, to the next chapter of the adventure. With pictures, I hope.

Pomiane, how wonderful! I know he will bring you much joy. We are loving having our Airedale puppy Vita - she of the very big feet.

Well, we went and inspected last Friday, and - needless to say - chose the largest and noisiest of the litter...although with eyes barely open and a little pink nose, the 'noise' was no more than persistant wheezing. He comes home and departs for Italy in September.

From my experience of Airedales, Vita's feet are merely an indication of what the rest of her will be, in time. My parents' last Airedale was the size of a small bus!
