Terrines are just marvellous things to have up one's sleeve, or at least in the larder and are a perfect compliment to a simple meal of, say, an omelette and a glass of wine, as Elizabeth David remarked.&lt;BR/&gt;I too own a Le Creuset cast iron terrine, which I acquired on Ebay from the owner of a restaurant that had closed - they are, sadly, no longer made. The white porcelain terrines of equivalent shape I have only seen for sale once, in Dean and Deluca in New York, and at a terrifying price.
